The Finnish government, together with the President, announced on Monday 16.3. that Finland is currently in an exceptional situation due to the Coronavirus. We at NCS are following the instructions defined by the government and strive to halt the spread of the virus on our behalf. To ensure the wellbeing of our staff and customers, we have adopted the following procedures: We have a taskforce in place which is monitoring the situation 24/7 and most of our staff is working remotely. We have increased the level of hand and general hygiene in our offices, as well as cancelled all travel abroad and are organising our meetings through a remote connection. All of our drivers and hauliers have been given detailed operating instructions.
Customer- and country-related restrictions may cause some delays in the schedules. The biggest challenges we currently face are with traffic to and from Italy, Spain, Switzerland and France. Regarding these destinations, customers must always inform themselves beforehand about whether there is a possibility to unload or load the goods at the foreign customer / shipper.
We are doing our utmost to maintain our service promise despite the challenging circumstances.
We are actively monitoring the situation and will react immediately should the circumstances change.
