THE HARBOUR STRIKE HAS ENDED

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union “AKT” has reached an agreement with Finnish Port
Operators Association. The strike which started on 15.2.2023 and closed nearly all the ports
in Finland will now come to its end. The harbour workers will return to work gradually and
latest on Saturday 4.3.2023.

Finnish harbours will start operating again but it will take approx. 10 – 14 days before the
time tables of ferry companies and transportation schedules are normal. There is a huge
backlog of loaded trailers in harbours of Finland, Germany and Estonia. There will be a
major shortage of ferry places and haulage capacity during next weeks as the backlog starts
to discharge.

NCS will do its utmost to reach the normal situation and schedules as soon as possible.

Shipments which are loaded before strike will be handled in loading order starting from the
oldest. Shipments with strike surcharge will be prioritized.
