THE FINNISH TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION ”AKT” STRIKE WARNING

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union “AKT” has also declared a strike warning starting
from Wednesday 15.2.2023 at 06.00. The strike will cover harbours, transportation,
terminal activities and tanker and petroleum product industry.
The negotiations will continue between the parties at the National Conciliator’s Office in
order to avoid the strike. If no agreement is reached before the 15th of February, the AKT
Union members will go to strike.
Possible strike will stop the majority of road transportation as only trailer with driver can
entry to the vessel. Normal “loose trailer” is not an option during strike.
Please be prepared to capacity cancellations, time table alterations and strike surcharges.
