THE FINNISH TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION ”AKT” ON STRIKE

The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union “AKT” has declared a strike starting from Wednesday
15.2.2023 at 06.00. The strike will cover all harbours, part of domestic transportation,
terminal activities and tanker and petroleum product industry.
Strike will stop the majority of road transportation as only accompanied units can entry to
the vessel. Normal “loose trailer” traffic is not an option during strike.
Please be prepared to capacity limitations, time table alterations and strike surcharges.
During strike NCS will use all possible routings which will cause extra costs. To cover these
costs we are forced to implement strike surcharges for loadings starting from Wed
15.2.2023 .
ATTENTION!
- Our capacity is limited and these alternative routes can stop if strike expands.
- Transport execution starts when we have confirmation including surcharge.
- We cannot commit to normal time tables.
