Effects of the support actions of the transporting sector on the transports of NCS Finland Oy.

The Transport Workers’ Union AKT and Finnish Seafarers’ Union have announced their support actions for the industrial action of The Finnish Post and Logistics Union PAU.
The compassionate industrial action of AKT will gradually increase to include all member groups of the union. Currently the overtime and shift change ban includes the members of AKT who work under the working contracts for trucking, stewedoring, freight forwarding warehousing and harbour worker.
Beginning on Monday 25.11 at 06:00 am, the cargo, ropax and passenger ferries sailing under the Finnish flag, and arriving in harbour after 6am, will be left at the harbours. These actions have a serious effect on the foreign trade of Finland.
As of Thursday 28.11. 06:00am, till Saturday 30.11 06:00am, the workers under the contracts for harbour operators and AKT will refrain from working. This will stop most of the foreign traffic going through Finnish harbours.
