COMPANY MANAGEMENT 
Management's commitment to responsible operations is a basic requirement. The company management is committed to acting responsibly, in compliance with laws and regulations, and wants to develop and improve its operating methods and processes in a more responsible direction, for example through communication, resourcing and prioritization. 
 
HUMAN RIGHTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS 
Human rights are fundamental rights that a company must respect and comply with in all its operations. 
The fundamental principles and rights at work defined by the ILO declaration are observed in work and employment relationships. These fundamental rights are the right to join a union or labour organization, the prohibition of forced labour, the prohibition of child labour and the prohibition of discrimination. 
Working hours, wages and other terms and conditions of employment are implemented in accordance with applicable laws and regulations 
 
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY 
Occupational health care services are at the level required by laws and regulations or higher. 
Occupational safety regulations are complied with.  
It is ensured that the working environment is safe and promotes occupational health, preventing accidents, injuries and occupational diseases. 
 
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA 
All information that is not public regarding partners, customers or contracts is confidential. The transfer or disclosure of confidential information to third parties is prohibited without express permission or if required by law or an authority. 
Personal data is processed in accordance with EU Regulation 679/2016. 
Messages and comments published online and on social media must be worded in such a way that they are personal to the publisher and do not in any way represent the views of NCS or that they could be misinterpreted as the views of NCS. 
 
ETHICS 
LAWS AND REGULATIONS 
We comply with national and international laws and regulations governing our operations.
We do not cooperate with companies or individuals subject to sanctions. 
We also do not transport products subject to sanctions. 
 
CORRUPTION AND BRIBERY, MONEY LAUNDERING 
Bribery is prohibited without exception, even in countries where bribery is legal or customary.
Cash payments are not accepted for transport orders. 


COMPETITION 
Contracts are negotiated in accordance with the principles of fair competition. 
No informal anti-competitive agreements may be made between competitors regarding prices, market shares, capacity restrictions or contract terms.

 

Environment

 

We fill the requirements set in environmental law and recognize the environmental effects of our operations, map out the biggest factors and aim to find ways to reduce them.

We develop our operations according to sustainable development and customer wishes.

We aim to reduce and prevent the harmful environmental effects of the actions of ourselves and our subcontractors.

Our goal is to curb climate change and to further actions that promote more sustainable use of natural resources.

 
EMISSIONS 
Operations aim to minimize and prevent emissions by optimizing transport routing and minimizing empty runs. 
New technologies are utilized to reduce emissions. 
Greenhouse gas emissions from transport are monitored and efforts are made to reduce them. 
In data processing, efforts are made to increasingly switch to electronic documents.

 
ENERGY EFFICIENCY 
Continuous mapping and improvement of the energy efficiency of our own and subcontractors’ transport fleet. The minimum EURO classification of the tractors is 6 .
Striving to use renewable fuels and electric equipment where possible.

 
WASTE AND RECYCLING 
Equipment maintenance is carried out by authorized operators. 
Tires and waste oils are handled and recycled appropriately. 


TRAINING AND GUIDANCE 
The up-to-date skills of the personnel are ensured through training and guidance. 
We ensure that the drivers' professional qualifications and training related to the transport of hazardous materials are valid and up-to-date.
The training takes safety and environmental issues adequately into account.

History

 

NCS Finland was founded in 2002. The owner Timo Hagman strived to create a company capable of responding to the ever-changing transportation needs of customers with speed and proficiency.

 

Since the beginning, the company has been guided by the strength of its core values: quality, flexibility and commitment. Strong entrepreneurial spirit, customer-orientation and adhering to our values has enabled us to grow into one of the leading international transport providers in Finland.

 

 

Management

 

NCS management holds long-standing experience in the field of logistics and its managerial challenges. We intend to make best use of this experience in all of our operations for the benefit of our customers.

 

CEO Timo Hagman

 

Timo Hagman is the founder of NCS Finland. His long-term goal was always to develop the best company in the business in terms of both service and profitability. Hagman learned the ropes of transport business in the 1990’s during his five years in Austria working with Nordic traffic for a large international organization. During this time, he established a vast network of logistics professionals in Central Europe. His total experience in the field spans for close to thirty years.

COO Jarmo Halonen

Jarmo Halonen began his career in logistics in 1991. Along the years, he has gathered management experience from many companies in both Finland and Sweden. NCS strives towards strong growth in the upcoming years, both organically and through acquisitions. Halonen finds the ever-changing nature of his work most rewarding: operative management is always kept alert by NCS seeking more opportunities for growth.

Sales Director Heikki Ruuhijärvi

Heikki Ruuhijärvi has worked in transport sales for many leading companies in the field. He is responsible for sales and marketing as well as the company’s most important customer relations. Years of experience with challenges provided by a multitude of Finnish and international export and import companies has afforded him with rock-solid professionalism and expertise, which are invaluable in creating strong and long-lasting customer relations for NCS both now and in the future.
